For the Dr. Comfort William Men's Casual Shoe, the difference between Wide and X-Wide is fairly significant.
Wide: E/EE
X-Wide: EEE/EEEE (roughly 4E–6E depending on the sizing convention). Dr. Comfort officially lists these as separate width categories.
A Dr. Comfort sizing chart gives a men's size 10 as approximately 111–121 mm (4.37–4.76") wide in Wide versus 115–125 mm (4.53–4.92") in X-Wide. That's about 4 mm (5/32") wider at the corresponding measurement range.
