We are not medically trained but the 2603 is a good match for MTA
The 2603 has several features that are particularly relevant:
Straight-last construction — this is important because the shoe doesn't follow the inward curve of the forefoot. The manufacturer specifically identifies the 2603 as a straight-last athletic shoe.
Elongated heel counter — helps keep the heel positioned within the shoe.
Wide and extra-wide widths — useful if the child's forefoot needs room.
Removable inserts — allows an orthotic or other insert to be used if prescribed.
Extra depth and a wide toe/heel area — designed to accommodate orthoses and AFOs.
It comes in toddler sizes, including T4 through T13.5.
For MTA specifically, a straight last and a supportive heel counter are two of the characteristics commonly sought in an orthopedic shoe because they can help keep the heel aligned while providing a straighter platform for the forefoot.
