The Claribel has a comfortable, cushioned upper and Vionic’s supportive footbed, so it can work well if the bunion is mild to moderate. However, Vionic shoes aren't universally roomy in the toe area; people with bunions sometimes find certain Vionic styles too narrow around the bunion. This is where I'd be more concerned. A tailor's bunion needs room across the entire forefoot, especially toward the outside near the pinky toe. The Claribel isn't specifically designed as a wide/extra-wide toe-box slipper. Testing of Vionic slippers has also found some styles aren't ideal for more pronounced bunions.I would look at Orthofeet or Propet on our site as they offer wider sizing.
