In tennis shoes
It should fit in many standard tennis shoes because it does not take up the full length of the shoe.
It is not extra-wide, so if you have a wide forefoot, it may not provide enough coverage under the whole ball area of the foot.
For a wide shoe (2E/4E), it may feel a little narrow because it is made as a more universal 3/4 insert.
In dress sandals
It is more likely to stay hidden than a full-length orthotic.
The heel and arch portion are the main visible areas; the front ends before the toes.
However, in very open sandals, the leather top and edges can still sometimes be seen depending on the sandal shape.
