Too loose / non-binding they can shift inside shoes during side-to-side movement. Not compression-fit, less support and stability. Basic cushioning (not targeted) doesn’t protect high-impact zones like sport socks. Moisture control is decent but not athletic-grade. Bottom line: they’re comfort socks, not athletic socks
