It's not suitable for flat feet because if a flat foot steps into it the impression kit, it will come back flat and then there won't be any arch support added to the insole..
So if the goal is to get arch support that may not occur when a flat-footed impression is taken. It may be better to get an adjustable insole like the Orthos insoles (orthos.com) and then lower the arch.
