If 9.5W feels slightly long or loose (especially at the heel), the 9 Wide could also work — but given your history of sizing up for closed-toe styles, 9.5W is likelier to be the best fit. Vionic’s general sizing chart shows a Size 9 → 9.75–10 inches foot length, 9.5 → ~10–10.125 inches, and 10 → ~10.25–10.375 inches, so the difference per half size and width is predictable.
